Great selection! I was previously at two other locksmith services and at the hardware store, none had the right old bit key for me. After 1-2 minutes, the friendly employee from Reese found the right one. I am very satisfied.

I don't often rate in writing, but now I am a bit annoyed and hope to provoke a rethink with my contribution. I want to explicitly advise no one against using a product or service from the company. I have only had the best experiences in the past. However, today I was treated rudely, cheekily, and unfairly. I was surprised by the amount for duplicating a key and since probably no key is from the mass, I only asked for a cheaper alternative. I was then confronted with arguments that you don't buy a key every day and was presented with some new written price calculations from the company Abus of 9.7%. I pointed out that I had already duplicated this key here before and I couldn't remember the price. I was then told to present the invoice. I understand the principle that price changes are naturally passed on to the end consumer, but if a key blank was purchased years ago, I shouldn't be reminded that one receives more money from the scrap metal dealer and then suddenly the Rewe supermarket was used as an opinion maker. I remained calm and friendly, even after another customer was brought against me. The culmination of this long-lasting not really good consultation by the male seller was that the really dedicated and friendly lady who actually served me said in the end..... I quote from memory....... "For that price, I wouldn't have sold you the key......" This led to a slight argument between the very unfriendly man and the very nice lady, who had already noticed the misconduct somehow. I would like to point out again..... in the past, I have only had good experiences and hope that this criticism will lead to a rethink. Maybe one has a bad day, but in the end, a little kindness should prevail.......

This locksmith was the only one today who helped me in and around Lübeck. Wonderful. You made me very happy and I can continue my vacation. Friendly and competent. Big thank you 🙏🏻

I can highly recommend the locksmith service Reese, here at the location in Lübeck. I called there with the question of whether a VW key can be duplicated and I was advised very kindly. However, to be completely sure, I was asked to take a picture of the key so that one does not make a long trip (~65Km one way + back) for nothing. The next day I received the positive confirmation by phone that it is feasible. On the same day, I drove to Lübeck and everything went great. I can recommend the locksmith service without reservation.

Especially since the beginning of Corona, but even earlier under the sign of the extremely dumbed-down and lazy consumer capitalism, craft businesses, or as Key Reese also calls them: traditional businesses have become extremely cheeky. Instead of cheeky, depending on the situation, one could use the words shameless, fascistoid money- and power-conscious, rude, condescending, superficial, or simply ineffective, namely when a certified German craftsman perhaps does one thing well, but breaks at least two others without batting an eye. Especially craftsmen from established businesses behave in a fully proletarian manner. Traveling businesses, on the other hand, still show charm and especially interest in their profession. I went to Reese. An established business. Traditional business. I needed 3 pieces of square bars to a specific size, and 4 standard threaded screws with a lens head and made of brass. I took the brass door and window handles with me, I communicated the door leaf thickness right at the beginning. The master came in (his apprentice could hardly answer a question), and as soon as he saw my unpacked door handle, which is not produced in this piece and execution anywhere in Germany, he expressed his bad mood: "We don't do that." Nevertheless, I stated my concern. He took my visibly brand new brass door handle in his hand to check the size of the square bar. He threw the new door handle, which is not produced anywhere in Germany, from about 15 centimeters high onto the table, so that the door handle slid a short distance across the table. (Scratches, dents.) He selected the square bar and also threw it in front of the dogs, pardon, in front of me. I told him the door thickness again. He initially wanted to save himself the cutting (15 seconds). While making constant condescending comments and formulas of open rudeness, he sawed off the bar. I wanted to be sure and try again with the door handles to see if the door thickness fits securely. Remarks, condescending comments, door handle thrown again. Then I told him that I needed two more square bars in a different size and length. Almost offended, he went to look for them, muttering some phrases to himself. He also had to cut these. Also thrown in front of me, almost falling off the counter. I told him I needed threaded screws in this and that size. "We don't have that!" Meanwhile, I stood in front of a counter, which has a display case at the bottom for the dogs, pardon customers, where Master Reese showcases his shiniest brass fittings, such as those for which I wanted to buy parts. He probably won't screw nickel-plated screws into his brass fittings. OK. Then I wanted to pay (an old man, another customer, makes jokes about what the cutting, this approximately 45-second job would cost extra). With EC card. "Also with card" (as if I had already done too much wrong), "then we have 5000 bookings, no, only from 10€". As far as I know, that is no longer legal, especially since the card reader is on the table, as card payment now costs nothing or hardly anything. I said, then I have to leave, look for an ATM, and come back in five hours. The master really doesn't need help with the cheekiness: "We are here until 6 PM." Conclusion: a full proletarian, condescending, already offended, rude, better not to be used for help regarding individual parts, when the customer has firmly decided to be in a good mood, he damages the goods (property) of the customer, which the customer shows to be able to buy the right part.
